Payment Policy
Effective date: 07 August 2026
1. Accepted payment methods
ACE Skins accepts card payments through a secure hosted payment flow. Accepted card networks include Visa and Mastercard when available for the card issuer and transaction risk profile. During pre-approval, checkout is limited to customers whose billing country is in the European Economic Area.
ACE Skins does not collect, process, or store full card numbers, CVV codes, or card authentication credentials. Card data is handled by the payment processor on its secure checkout pages.
This Payment Policy must be read together with the Refund Policy and the Delivery and Fulfilment Policy, which explain refund eligibility, delivery timing, completion of Steam delivery, and failed-delivery handling.
Before creating a payment order, the cardholder must manually confirm that they are at least 18 years old and accept the Terms and Conditions, Payment Policy, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Delivery Policy. A second separate checkbox records express consent to immediate digital delivery and acknowledgement of the consequent loss of the statutory withdrawal right once performance begins.
2. Payment authorization and order flow
When a user creates an order, ACE Skins sends the order amount, currency, order reference, email, billing country, and technical browser details to the payment processor. The processor redirects the user to its hosted card page and performs 3-D Secure authentication through Visa Secure or Mastercard Identity Check.
- The order remains pending until the payment processor confirms successful payment and reports an authenticated 3-D Secure result.
- ACE Skins starts item purchase and delivery only after a successful payment webhook or verified payment status is received.
- If payment authorization fails, expires, or is cancelled, the order will not be delivered.
3. Prices, currency, and conversion
Every item card states its display currency. Retail prices are calculated from current third-party market data plus the store markup disclosed by the catalogue API. When the payment currency differs, ACE Skins applies the configured currency-pair rate by multiplication (or division for a configured reverse pair) and rounds the result to two decimal places.
The source amount, conversion rate, final amount, and final currency are fixed when the payment order is created. The final amount is shown on the secure payment page before card authorization.
ACE Skins charges the total shown by ACE Skins at checkout. The card issuer or the cardholder's bank may separately apply additional fees, including foreign-transaction, currency-conversion, or other card-use fees under the cardholder agreement. ACE Skins does not set, collect, or control those issuer fees; the cardholder should contact the issuer for details.
Displayed prices are final consumer prices. ACE Skins does not add another tax at checkout. Where VAT is legally applicable, it is included in the displayed price.
4. Security, fraud checks, and restrictions
Payments may be screened for fraud, sanctions, chargeback risk, duplicate attempts, mismatched cardholder data, or suspicious account activity. ACE Skins or the payment processor may decline, delay, cancel, or request additional verification for any transaction.
Use of stolen cards, unauthorized payment instruments, payment abuse, chargeback fraud, account sharing, bots, or attempts to bypass payment security are prohibited and may lead to account suspension or reporting to relevant parties.
ACE Skins records the processor's 3-D Secure result. A successful card callback without an authenticated 3-D Secure result is not treated as a paid order and is not released for delivery.
5. PCI scope, merchant identification, and receipts
Card numbers, CVV values, and card authentication credentials are entered only on the processor's secure hosted payment page. ACE Skins receives transaction references and status data, not full card data.
Before payment, checkout displays SOFISTA OÜ as merchant of record, registry code 17391252, the registered address, item, final consumer price, currency, delivery method, and applicable policies. After a successful processor callback, ACE Skins displays the order details in the signed-in customer's order view and automatically emails a payment receipt containing the merchant, order reference, item, amount, currency, and payment date.
The acquirer may separately request the processor's current PCI DSS Attestation of Compliance and the merchant's applicable SAQ or other scope documentation. Website disclosure does not replace those documents.
6. Refunds, chargebacks, and support
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, and delivery status is determined under the Delivery and Fulfilment Policy. Digital item purchases are final once delivered to the user's Steam inventory, except for limited cases such as verified technical delivery failure, duplicate payment, or proven unauthorized transaction.
Refund requests and payment questions must be sent to finance@aceskins.store with the order ID, payment email, payment date, and a description of the issue.
If a cardholder raises a dispute or chargeback, ACE Skins will review the case and may submit relevant transaction and fulfilment records to its payment processor or acquirer for handling under the applicable Visa or Mastercard rules and deadlines. Evidence may include the order and receipt records, 3-D Secure results, account and device data, the customer's policy and delivery-consent records, support correspondence, Steam trade-offer details, and Steam transfer confirmation. The final outcome is determined under the applicable card-scheme, acquirer, and issuer procedures. Using a legitimate chargeback or statutory remedy does not by itself waive the cardholder's rights or justify an account restriction.
